Not saying that I think it's the right thing, but this is not ground breaking.

Just to sum this up, the NRA wants to add to the taxpayer's burden rather than have anything possibly affect the status quo and their bottom line.
HEROIC!
I personally don't like the idea, but we have been doing it for a long time now in many places.
That said, I hate anything that adds to taxpayer expense other than the basics.

- I HATE WASTING TAXPAYER MONEY MORE THAN ANYTHING!!!
- Then we're going to have to make you more responsible for your firearms and possibly inconvenience you.
- Maybe "hate" is a strong word...

While I see that there are budget issues with this (and I am curious as to how the schools/county can afford 24 new cops but can't buy paper for the schools), this is not an unprecedented suggestion... and in all reality, not a bad idea anyway.

Adding required permits/insurance to gun owners. (tax)
Adding Gov. Ran inspections/classes to permit gun owners (tax)
Not an issue.
Put police in schools.

Guess you want me to pay your car taxes too.
Oh now we are getting into specifics ?
I thought this was a generalized opinion thread.
Why don't you want to put Law Enforcement in schools ?
Why don't you want to protect our children ????
