Is Rivera strikes me as the type of guy that wouldnt have the "heart" to let some of these overpaid and aging veterans know they will be cut or traded. He really seems like the type of guy that gets easily personally attached to players and Im just scared he would turn down potnetial good trades for players like Beason, D Will and Gross all because he likes them too much personally. We all praise the fact Rivera is a nice, stand up guy. But im just scared he would be too nice in this situation.
Trades are a rarity in the NFL, and our phone won't be ringing off the hook for any of these guys.
Not even worth discussing. We'd get peanuts back in any potential deal.

Also Rivera would not be the one deciding who is on the roster. That is the GM's job.

Gamble would garner a lot of interest.

So the guy who cut John Kasay, then later cut the replacement he'd brought in himself, and just said publicly that Jon Beason won't be the MLB anymore is afraid of tough decisions?
Riiiiight
I don't know where you've been but you must of missed the memo.
anything bad or showing any kind of lack of leadership must be attribted to Rivera........
anything good should be bestowed on the players themselves or attributed too blind luck.
your welcome.
