Does this sloppy win help Rivera's chances?

I really think he's gone no matter what. It sucks because I think he's a pretty decent coach with an eye for talent, but I'm pretty sure that the new GM will want their own guy.
I'm not so sure.
Today for the first time I heard an offensive player say they love playing for him and hope he stays (Greg Olsen, specifically). I'd say the chances of him sticking are getting better.

Reminder the raiders have played other teams tough all year.
I never expected a blowout but I didn't expect a game this sloppy.
yeah they shut out a team last week which is hard to do no matter who you're playing in the NFL. their record tends to make people overlook them but their defense is nothing to take lightly and they've hung in there despite having been eliminated from playoff contention for what feels like forever and having dealt with a ton of injuries.

Every team plays sloppy from time to time just look at the pats v/s jags this week.
Playing sloppy and still winning is all that matters

OL, #2 WR, DB, DT
Rivera's coaching has been abysmal at some points, but it's hard to see any one doing really well with this team. We're also really young and we're starting to put it together.
A new, proven talent evaluator (if we get Ross, that is), and a young team starting to come together bodes well for next year. I'm indifferent about Rivera, he hasn't proven a lot, but the team loves him, and I dunno if a complete system change will help but whatever.
Chud needs to gtfo tho.

That was ugly. Riviera is so lucky
There's a saying in the NFL "Better lucky than good."
And honestly? A month ago we would've lost this game.

A win is NOT a win in the normal sense when you have been out of the playoff hunt for weeks. Meaningless game
that's not surprising coming from you considering that if it was your choice we would have seen derek anderson for the entire second half.
look at the intensity level of both defenses in this game and tell me that the players don't think a win would be "a win in the normal sense"

We'll get the Aints best game next week in New Orleans.
Should be a good test of where we are.

I guess you are thrilled that Cam played the whole game, same with Smitty and DWill. I would have put some guys in at WR, RB and yes at QB. Looking ahead to next season is all we have.
I suppose you feel on top of the world that a hapless Raiders led by Matt Leinart gave us a good game.
Don't get hurt celebrating.
