Byron Mullens appears to have suffered a "severe" left ankle sprain during Saturday's game, and his return date is uncertain.

X-rays were negative but Mullens needed to be carried off the court and he was using crutches in the locker room, so owners should prepare for an extended absence. The Bobcats don't have any one player who can replace his production, but Hakim Warrick would get a big boost in minutes if Mullens is forced to miss any games.

I don't like seeing our players get injured, but praise GOD!!!

This year he wasn't to hot, but a bad Beason is still better then what a lot of other teams had.

And are you talking about Bobcat games or Panthers games? I have seen all the games from each to so far this season so I hope that last comment was referring to Beason and not Mullens.

I would rather see Mullens continue to show improvement. He's sure not going to develop into a commodity sitting on a bench with a fuged up ankle.

Haywood will finally get back on the court as well. Also I know we trash Diop a lot, but he had played good defense when out there.

As far as Mullens developing, he is not going to do so unless he finally accepts his role. He doesn't need to take 15 shots a game, it's not a necessity.

I don't so much have a problem with Mullens shooting, but i'd rather him take those shots out of the post/closer to the basket.

Mullens is hot garbage. I'd rather sign some no name from the d-league to play minutes than him. lol @ trying to develop him into a useful player. considering how many of his problems are in his fuged up head, maybe sitting on the bench is exactly what he needs. he can get a sports psychologist or something.

The Bad:

1) Obviously, he is hurting
2) No time on the court means no time to improve in his areas of weakness
3) Missing Jan. is the worst month to do so since the trade deadline is in Feb. & he will not have enough time to help his stock.
4) As bad as his D is, he is a rebounding machine and will be missed.

The Good:
1) As a team, shot selection should improve greatly with him out

The Intriguing:
1) Most of the Bobcats 7 wins came with Henderson out or on limited minutes. I would like to see what they can do without Mullens for a change.
