Where we pick in the draft scenarios is good or REALLY good

Tampa owns the head to head, we would finish 3rd.

Yeah but we beat saints twice

And I think the saints beat tampa twice

So, your theory is wrong

Doesn't matter, head to head is first, if that's split then it's win's in division. Since Tampa has beaten us twice, they would get the tie breaker if they won and we won this week.

Btw my theory is correct lol.

We're picking 13th as of right now

Here are the teams around us;

6. Buffalo (5-10)

7.Cleveland (5-10)

8.Tennessee (5-10)

9.Arizona (5-10)

10.San Diego (6-9)

11.New York Jets (6-9)

12.Tampa Bay (6-9)

13.Carolina (6-9)

14.Pittsburgh (7-8)

15.Miami (7-8)

16.New Orleans (7-8)

by this chart the *highest* we pick is 6, an that's if we lose and every team above us wins, an we lose.

Here's the schedules for week 17, and just for shiggles, my perdictions.

NYJ @ Buffalo- Buffalo over NYJ (both end up 6-10)

Browns @ Pittsburgh- Pittsburgh over Browns (Browns 5-11, Pittsburgh 8-8)

Jaguars @ Tennessee- Jags over Tennessee (Jags 3-13, Tennessee 5-11)

Arizona @ San Frisco - San Fran over Arizona (Arizona 5-11, San Fran 11-5-1)

Raiders @ Chargers- Chargers win (Chargers 7-9, Raiders 4-12)

Bucs @ Atlanta - Atlanta wins (Bucs 6-10, Atlanta 14-2)

Miami @ New England - New England wins (Miami 7-9, New England 12-4)

And we beat NOs, both of us going to 7-9

So in the end it'd look something like this;

6. Cleveland (5-11)

7.Tennessee (5-11)

8.Arizona (5-11)

9.New York Jets (6-10)

10.Buffalo Bills (6-10)

11.Tampa Bay (6-10)

12.San Diego (7-9)

13.New Orleans (7-9)

14.Miami (7-9)

15.Carolina (7-9)

16.Pittsburgh (8-8)

Well I hope you enjoyed because I spent too much time with this

Not sure the head to head stuff works except for playoffs.

I think oppositions winning percentage applies in draft.

Could be wrong though

You are correct only the Opp W-L% is all that counts other than records in draft position and of course what level you lose during the playoffs

My mistake your right (didn't realize the Saints had 7 wins).

Technically, the best I think we can do is 3rd. Because the tie breaker would go all the way down to conference record and the Saints would have a better conference record.

Therefore the final standings would be

Falcons

Saints

Panthers

Bucs

I prefer third to fourth. Rather play the vikings and giants vs. lions and eagles

We're out of the top 10. Worst case scenario we pick 15, best case is picking 11 or 12.

Myself and Building were talking about overall standing/record which is still based of playoff tiebreaks I thought.

For the draft...

We actually leap over both the Bucs and the Saints because we had the toughest strength of schedule last year.

    • Of course, he's so massive he has his own gravitational pull.
    • You miss the point. Taylor was here before. We picked him because of what he could do for our wide receivers not because he had some great knowledge no other person had on the staff. Shula and Rivera and Gettleman studied multiple college systems for months before signing Taylor or drafting McCaffrey or Curtis and would have drafted the same whether Taylor was here or not. They liked the way Taylor developed McCaffrey which showed his talent but Stanford's offense wasn't Taylors idea or unique to him. Shula has a connection to Taylor as early as when Shula was at Alabama.  The debate was whether Taylor was chosen to replace Shula because Shula didn't know what to do to run a college offense and if he screwed up Taylor would replace him. And that Taylor was the reason and most influential in getting McCaffrey. I said it wasn't even close to the truth and this plan predated Taylor and was more thorough and we'll thought out. Everything since then just confirms I was right once again like usual.
