Kuechly has better stats than Willis and Bowman but somehow didn't make it. I thought each team had to have someone in the pro bowl

Nope, that's the MLB All-Star game you are thinking of.

Joe Person@josephperson
Panthers rookie Luke Kuechly is 4th Pro Bowl alternate at inside LB. If SF makes Super Bowl, it would knock out starters Bowman and Willis.

Maybe he'll get a hangnail, claim injury and sit out the game while enjoying the sunshine and weather of Hawaii.... like 70% of the starters do anyway...

I think it's great that Gross didn't make it...some of the fans here still think he is worth all that money we are throwing at him, always using the pro bowl as part of their argument.

Seriously you guys would rather our players NOT make the pro bowl?

smh
can't take at least half of you guys seriously

Tolbert, Hardy, and CJ should all made the team as reserves and Tolbert should be starting and it's a shame no panthers are on the roster (as of now)

yes. absolutely.

it's an increasingly hollow honor based on fan votes being unlimited in the amount of times they can vote and fans of hyped players/teams creating macros to allow them to vote millions of times if they wish.

based on players from two teams being eliminated due to playing in the superbowl, effectively watering down the talent even further and causing more alternates to go.

based on top players refusing to go.

based on the "game" being seen as a poor excuse for a game that very few care to watch.

and then there's the nightmare it is for GMs to deal with from players wanting to cash in on their status and agents trying to use it as a reason to try and get their players either better contracts or better situations and other agents trying to steal players taking advantage of the unrestricted access to players participating in or just there as a spectator.

and then there's the fact that while most players tend to take it easy, some try to use it as an opportunity to show off and piss players off who in turn quit taking it easy and catch someone unsuspecting potentially causing serious injury...or just those clowns wanting to make a statement and making unnecessarily hard hits on players not expecting anyone to take it seriously.

players getting named as all- pros....i'll take that all day. legit honor. pro- bowl, tho....not so much.
