What say u... i've seen enuff to give the guy first team reps next year. been impressive the way he finds the ball and better ball skills than everyone but martin so far.

He earned the right to compete for a starting job. I don't expect Rivera to return and I expect a lot of jobs to be up for grabs - both safety spots among them.

He struggled agiasnt Atlanta and wasn't really tested agianst SD or OAK. Faring well agianst Brees would be impressive

He has been better in run support and overall tackling than Godfrey imo.
Leave Godfrey at FS and DJ at SS until someone better takes one or both of their jobs.

if he's left as the undisputed answer at the position we may as well just re-hire hurney.

Word, he should be allowed to compete, he has earned that. He seems to be very smart and confident with a lot of late drops into coverage and late dives into the trenches.He earned the right to compete for a starting job. No one other than Gamble has earned the right to go in to camp as a "starter." Campbell has played well, but I suspect we will bring others in to compete.
