Here is something I can get on board with. Reporting mentally ill patients to the NICS, so it will be part of a background check. Obviously, that wouldn't have stopped the Newtown Massacre, but it is a logical solution that need to be looked at.

Not really seeing why he's sexist? All he said was "some woman" and that he was a man. These are both statements of fact and the inflection in which you read them makes no difference. He also said the Newtown shooter was an "evil man", I suppose that means he thinks men are evil, right? Regardless, no one is going to take your guns, they're just going to make sure you haven't been to prison and/or are not mentally challenged.
