Yeah, they honored him by paying him millions and then cutting him, and allowing him to double dip with the Browns.

This.

Would love to see him run out with the team for the home opener next season.

I'm sure he'd find a way to throw a pick before the announcer was done with his name....

The guy gave us hope, I respect him for that. Broke my heart too with the picks but I'll stop throwing stones and be thankful for what he did.

His not really on the level of Smitty who could be borderline statue worthy. But he really needs to be honored in some way. I don't feel as warm and fuzzy right now with Cam at QB. Maybe because he makes it look so easy, can you imagine Jake making those throws?

Jake deserves all the respect we as fans can muster. There is no way he should not be honored in some way and possibly offered a front office job

Front office? Only at the lower level. He has no experience.

Jake was always a good leader, spokesman and communicator. Something that uses those skills would make sense.

As far as his playing history, he definitely should be recognized. I wouldn't go as far as a statue or ring of honor, but a one day contract or a game appearance/ceremony of some sort would work.

He has been honored by being constantly brought up and still slightly overrated by our fanbase
