What has Rivera really proven?

He's proven he can take the greatest rookie performance in the history of the National Football League and not even get close to scratching the Playoffs.

And then follow it up with a 3900 yard, 19 TD performance and not even scratch close to the Playoffs.

He's proven he is not the right choice for the job.

Meanwhile Andrew Luck and Robert Griggin III head towards the Playoffs.

I have to apoligize to Russell Wilson.

The Pete Carroll lead Seahawks and Russell invade DC next week in round 1 of the 2012 NFC Playoffs.

Go get 'em Russell.

That he's the best coach when there's nothing to play for

He's proven he rarely beats winning teams.

He's proven he thinks a game clock is a South Carolina mascot.

He's proven that the team he coaches tends to be out of playoff contention 3/4 of the way through the season.

He's proven he'll make the tough changes and decisions once the General Manager gets fired mid season.

He's proven he'll take a top tier offense and change it in the off-season because he's Ron fuging Rivera.

He's proven that he loses the majority of close games he's in.

He's proven that he's the defensive Norv Turner - walk out of the gate, sprint once the race is over.

But the players like him and he's a nice guy and he's learning and despite the turn around other horrible teams have made, you can't expect Ron to coach a winning season for at least another year or two. We should probably think about extending him before too long so he has the time he needs to learn his craft and fully implement his system.

He's proven he's mediocre, just like our organization and team. One day we'll be elite. One day.

Maybe when JR no longer owns the team... Until then the Panthers are just something to do. If you want to be in the mix for a title on a yearly basis, i suggest you find another team! ...because buddy, .500 is the way of life under the rule of King Jerry Richardson. lol!

They did it last year and this season they looked worse than they did last year. They must have forgotten whatever it was they did right, if they knew.

They looked better this year

Finishing the season well would mean a lot if Rivera was a 1st year coach or took over midseason.

Hes not and he didnt. He was here last year, and did not prepare the team for the start of the season. The panther were out of the playoffs by week 8, frankly I dont give a poo what he did after that
