Rivera Black Monday News

Reports are that Lovie Smith could be out as the Bears' head coach, with Schefter reporting that the Bears have sent out "consent forms" to interview for head coaches.

Honestly, I would say that if Smith was let go, Rivera would be one of the top options to go to Chicago.

Doubtful.

They need offense in that division now.

They can have him.

Maybe they want a Gruden like trade for him, lol...

Lombardi's the only one who insists that Rivera will be fired today. I don't buy it.

It's already been stated that he won't be.

Jerry Richardson isn't even in Charlotte.

Lombardi has been saying that for a week though. Don't think he has any new information.

Lombardi is the only one driving that train, I'm anxious to see what happens. I think they'll be more focused on getting a new GM

    • Anything I do Panthers related by default. My poop is Panthers related.
    • I like MKG, we just have to understand what he is.  And that's a defensive stopper and rebounder.  He can be a solid starter on a championship level team, but it has to be in a situation like Dennis Rodman was in with Chicago.  He has to be surrounded with dynamic scorers that can compensate for his lack of scoring so he can focus on his defense and getting key rebounds.  Otherwise, his best fit is probably coming off the bench. The problem on this team is that we don't have the scoring threats to offset his deficiencies.  Even though Kemba is a good scorer, he's not a guy that can easily put up points in bunches.  He's probably a natural 15-18 point guy, not the 25-30 point guy MKG needs.
