This is just like free agency every year when it starts and all the competitive teams sign big name players, and Carolina stays quiet for weeks then re-signs their own guys.

Beane is the guy, him and Ron will continue handling all the business/player stuff.
I could possibly see us hiring some sort of assistant, but no new shiney GM. We aren't a real team.

This sounds about right.

Everyone wanting Rivera gone is silly. You give the guy a few more pieces and this team will be sick. The right GM could build one hell of a winner here with Rivera.
We have a sick team already

What? Thats the way bad teams lose games, so whats your point, that somehow Rivera had nothing to do with preparing his team.
Ha!! So what you're saying is Rivera threw the pick against Chicago, fumbled against Atlanta, threw the ball in the dirt at the goal line against Seattle?

We didn't hire Ernie Accorsi just to end up with Brandon Beane.

It's possible that we hired Accorsi to justify keeping Brandon Beane, but I tend to doubt it.
If so, it would be the classic "the more we searched, the more we realized we had a rising star in house". Again, I doubt it but that is a way it could be played.

Keep Rivera, hire Lovie and Norv.
Lol I will laugh if Rivera hires his two most recent bosses

Including the one that let him go from the Bears?
Can't really see that happening.
