Per Ian Rapoport, new Bears head coach Marc Trestman made reference to his "beloved Vikings" in his presser.

Also stated he plans to bring down some of his assistant coaches from the CFL.

Bet ya Chicago fans are loving both of those

Both the Eagles and Jags have asked about Pete Carmichael (Saints OC) but Carmichael is declining interviews.

Other coaches hired by the Browns include ST Coach Chris Tabor (retained from old staff) OL Coach Mike Sullivan (from the Chargers, not the Bucs) and, to no one's shock, Scott Turner.

The unexpected part? Scott gets the receiver coaching job.

Sullivan's hiring clears the way for Hunter to go back to OL, or if you start connecting dots (la la la) might mean Russ Grimm to San Diego

Now that would be interesting.

For whatever you think of McCoy (and I'm not high on him) he might just be building a pretty good staff.

On the flipside, how much fun would it be to watch Russ Grimm go back to Pittsburgh and work under Mike Tomlin?

Schefter says John Idzik is now the front runner for the Jets GM job. Others confirm, with some saying hes expected to be offered the job in short order.

Remember when the talk was that Tom Gamble had that job in his pocket? Seems like months ago, doesn't it?

You could argue that Gamble and Marc Ross are the guys having the roughest offseason this year.

(outside of Manti Te'o)

Ross pulled his name from consideration in the Jets GM "race" this past Monday or Tuesday, IIRC.

On NFLN now... Cardinals have offered Arians the job and he is likely to accept it

Ian Rapoport@RapSheet

The #Cardinals have offered their head coaching job to Bruce Arians, I'm told. He is expected to accept.

The final details of the contract for Bruce Arians and #Cardinals are being worked out. Not talking money, I'm told. So it's almost done.

    • This makes sense to a degree with one big BUT... It's clear we'll be changing up our offense quite a bit this season - both due to the need for "evolution" and because of all the new players on offense we have to integrate - especially CMC & Samuel.  So, Stew needs more reps than he would have needed last year just to get in a rhythm with the new guys... Otherwise what you write makes sense.
    • Already admitted i was wrong saying that, what I meant to write was he never learned to do it in college and makes it much easier to fall back into old habits in the pros. Was going back and edit that before I posted the thread and just forgot. And yes, every QB is going to be inaccurate at times, Cam is more inaccurate than the other top ten QBs, He just is, that's not his game,  didn't see anyone complaining about in 15. He makes up for it in other ways. And, no offense meant, didn't see a whole lot of Cam blaming in your post, actually, didn't see any. It was all someone else's fault. Cam has more difficult throws than many QBs because he frequently passes up easy throws for more difficult ones.
