what smart ass retorts are you looking for? she can have her opinion, it's good to be reminded of the terrible tragedies of the past. She tried to make weak connections to today, but I didn't find them very convincing.

I found her take on womens rights to be... interesting. It was all fine until women started dying in wars, heh.

fwiw, she is completely wrong about Hitler and guns. I don't give a poo what her impressions of the time were, the reality just does NOT support what she is claiming. Hitler loosened regulations on guns for all non-Jewish citizens. Gun registries already existed BEFORE Hitler, and he actually weakened pretty much all other laws by completely deregulating shotguns and rifles, and extending licenses on handguns from 1 year to 3. of course, he banned all weapons from Jews, but this went beyond guns and also dealt with swords etc. I
