Can Ross pull off something this year that gets us Clowney next year?

I hope Hardy stays here. Dude is just the right amount of insane.
I agree, but we're just not gonna be able to match what other teams are going to throw at him. Releasing Gross and Gamble is really our only way out.

He wasn't even blocked on that big hit...
Dude had 5 sacks against Clemson.

And that would be why he was double teamed all day. To avoid that.

meh, if we miss out on Clowney you'll have a shot a Robert Nkemdiche, who is supposed to be better than him, 2 years later
Lol what? Do you even follow recruiting? Besides being a headcase, Nkemdiche isn't rated nearly as high as Clowney.
Clowney had one of the highest ratings ever, a once in a decade player. Every recruitnik says he'd be the first player taken if he came out this year, and multiple GMs anonymously said they would take him straight out of high school in the first round if they could.
Nkemdiche is the best defensive end of his year with a bad case of entitlement who got 5 of his friends scholarships before decommiting from that school.
Humongous difference. Now, Hand (2014 recruit) might be around as good as Clowney, but he still isn't on the same level.

I live in Shelby. I have been watching the boy since 2009. I don't need one game to know what this guy is. Trust me Sgt, this guy is once in a generation.
This. I'm from Rock Hill (SC), and have been watching Clowney since high school. The guy is an absolute freak.
