this isn't a "most talented" or "best" drummers list as some seem to have interpreted

former beatles and members of pink floyd are going to be fuging rich because those bands sold hundreds of millions of albums and are enduringly popular. there are guys at your local guitar center who are better drummers than ringo starr, nick mason, and sure as poo lars ulrich.

Wait wait wait...dd you really just say that? Did you really just say that Questlove is more unique/talented than most of those drummers on that list???

You're the guy that doesnt play music, huh?

Don't worry, I would be jealous too if I never got to go to the Grammys for free and all of the after parties with celebs. Would also be jealous of any guy able to play guitar well because its an awesome hobby and it makes bitches wet.

Not surprised to see an 18 year old with jealousy problems, though.

I think part of the problem may be that some people may think of ?uestlove for being on Jimmy Fallon, whereas I think of him from this song - 3 minutes 15 seconds on...

Nah, I think I'm jealous moreso of your ability to act as if you're some sort of god among men. I mean, I'm sure you "make bitches wet" when you tell them you're some sort of other-worldly guitarist and you attend the Grammys for free... Well, at least the dumb, superficial chicks.

I wish that someday I could be just like you, but unfortunately my father didn't win a Grammy for Best Instrumental Contemporary Jazz Album by a Duo or Group 40 years ago.

Nah, that's not what it's about at all. It's just that in the Grammy noms thread, I said that Ed Sheeran deserved a Best New Artist and Album of the Year nomination, and this dude goes off about how he totally disagrees because he's a musical genius and he always knows what is right and what is wrong when it comes to music because his father won a Grammy... And now I say "Ed Sheeran is the best artist of our generation" to him just in order to piss him off.

So basically he's a pretentious asshole.

Hahaha just a complete over exaggeration of what actually happened.

Over exaggerations are to be expected with 18 year old posters, though.

Carry on with talking about Ed Sheeran in the drum thread.

Nah nah, let's recap really quick, then we'll leave it alone.

In the Grammy Nom thread, I said to DPM that Ed Sheeran was robbed from BNA and AotY noms, and he agreed.

Then you decide to tell everyone about how you get to vote because your dad won a Grammy, and said "Sheeran is talented, but in this business, people get bored of just some guy with an acoustic guitar. It really isn't that fugging hard to right catchy finger picking songs on an acoustic, trust me."

I disagreed, and then of course, you wanted to be even more conceding.

"Do you write music? Or even play guitar? The dude has tons of talent but it really isn't that difficult to put together a song like his. I've been trying for years to recreate the musical geniousness of Thom York and Radiohead. THAT is real talent, a talent that can't be duplicated. Ed Sheeran? I can't even tell you how many friends/ other artists sound just like him if not better." ...etc. ("geniousness" isn't even close to a word, by the way)

And then Floppin... "I honestly have no clue who the Ed Sheeran guy is, but if you sounded anymore like a douchey hipster I might have to punch you through the internet."

I'm done now though. Don't wanna drag this out and annoy others.

Enough. Srsly. I am fed up getting PMs, emails, etc. about the juvenile bickering. It's Sunday, go watch football people.

I will say I find it humorous the "younger" guy here is being the more mature person and letting this go. Thank you.
