Growl 8,170 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Aren't we still paying for Mare? Who was like 2 kickers ago? Lol que the Hurney dealwithit gif Like someone else already said, this happens every offseason and every year we manage to find a way to make the numbers work....not worried Except we've never actually made it work. We've just buried the problem and it's coming bak to bite us more and more viciously each year. Gross should be as good as gone.
KSpan 6,961 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Actually fug it, cut Gamble. If this season has taught me one thing it is this, dominate the LOS and win the game. As long as you have guys in the secondary that are physical with receivers off the line (like Josh Thomas) you can win. Gamble was never that guy and it hurt us at times. Terry Cousin and Reggie Howard say hi.
Brooklyn Bully 2,014 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 It was funny when so many people celebrated when we signed our core players to big deals, and now those same people are forced to understand how dumb some of those decisions were. There will be a way, and a lot of people won't like it. Yeah, those people are called fools. Herp derp! We signed our core for years! Welcome to the next dynasty! Too bad our core was never that good to begin with. One day. One day this organization will get it right.
Fan01 557 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 I think you try to keep your strength strong. So I say we keep Deangelo and draft a RB in every round of the draft. I watched the Redskins and other teams go crazy paying players. I don't know how but the Panthers will figure it out. In the past they've always gotten under the cap with room to spare and sign some players.
CPF4LIFE 4,476 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 We really cant afford to let Gross go right now. Hell, letting Gamble is not a good move but if i had to choose between the two it would be Gamble gone. This situation also makes the draft that more crucial, those first 2 picks at least better be home runs or its gonna hurt us. Thats why i prefer Marc Ross for the GM job. He is good at finding talent.

Swaggasaurus 972 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Terry Cousin and Reggie Howard say hi. Yeah our line carried us to that super bowl. I hated Cousin though. He and Stuessie were my scapegoats back in that era.

pantherclaw 3,540 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Hurney never had problems getting the team under the cap. If he was as bad as most of you say he was, then his replacement should be able to do it even better.
frash.exe 11,572 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 btdubs for anybody who was a staunch hurney supporter has he landed any executive job in the personnel management dept. of another team yet? doesn't have to be GM could be anything. surely being this cap genius who never misses in the first round of the draft he should've been in demand
