Rivera will be here and deservedly so. The guy deserves one more season and I for one think it will be a good season.
I agree. I just really want Kelly as our coach. I don't want any other coach over Rivera though.

I think it's interesting that two of the first three potential candidates are WR, and that Dawson being a pro WR isn't a bad starting point for JR. But, the talent's there, too.

the whole up-and-coming thing makes me think "doesn't cost much".
That shouldn't surprise you. It's been the driving force behind the Panthers since JR fired his sons. I am sure he has a pie chart somewhere that explains it.

absolutely agreeIf Richardson was going to fire Rivera, he would have done it right after the season. He would have at least met with Rivera right after the season. There is NO WAY, he would wait an entire week to meet with Rivera and then fire him. That makes absolutely no sense. The meeting is probably about the new GM, where Rivera see's this team going, and plans moving forward. There is no way this meeting is to fire Rivera. That's nonsense.

No doubt Rivera WAS a bad coach last season and the first half of this season, but he has shown definite improvement and I don't want to have to go through a rebuilding period. Sure it would be great to hire a Jim Harbaugh level coach, but for every one of them there are at least 3 Spurrier/Butch Davis/Petrino's.
