Only guy I remember from my initial larger candidate list who isn't currently employed is Will Lewis, formerly part of the Seahawks front office.

Could be the CFL guy some people have speculated about, I suppose.

And I suppose, technically speaking, Ernie Accorsi isn't currently employed in the NFL either.

Jim Popp from the big town ole Elkin. GM for Montreal Alouettes.

About the part of interviewing someone "not currently employed by another team" it's obviously Beane, but I wish it was Accorsi

Paul (Charlotte): Hi Pat, what do you know about Brandon Beane's background? Does he have scouting experience? Don't want a Hurney re-tread in Charlotte.

PY: Brandon Beane is a great guy. But, no, no scouting experience. He's been their logistics guy -- setting up travel, setting up training camp, etc.

Perhaps we can also look into Edna at Mann Travel as a possible GM candidate

That's some impressive foresight given that nobody's even had an interview yet.

Sometimes i think ESPN must conduct seminars for their staff on "how to pull something out of your ass".

Brandon Beane wouldn't technically be employed by "another team".

My life has been a roller coaster over the last month. I'll make a lounge post about it.

The fact is that no one knows what Jerry Richardson is thinking right now.

I'm not even sure Jerry knows what he's thinking these days.

Could the "mystery interview" have been with Cowher? That would make sense if you buy into the PFT speculation.
