Not really, he shouldn't make the decision. If he wants to run the Panther's in a good way, then a GM should make the decision. Not the owner.

If only Jerry would look at what's happening to Jerruh over in Dallas.
Never mind, too much ego in both towns.

Until either the GM is hired or Rivera is fired there is nothing to talk about in regards to the panthers there just isn't. It will happen before the end of next week and I kinda figured it would take two weeks from the get go.

All of you wanting it done now and are crying about it taking so long are funny, the arguable best HC canidate as far as many are concerned just hit the market in Chip Kelly(I'm just Luke warm on him) so what do the panthers have to loose? Nothing

Kelly hit the market and was snatched up before JR was finished stirring his metamucil.

the panthers organization is jacked up.

it's almost as if everything is done at a whim's notice...no real direction or gameplan whatsoever.

"wait, what? the season's over?! rivera? ummm....uhhhh...errrr....give me a minute."

So we are taking our time and evaluating both the HC and GM hires....hired a consultant to evaluate pissible GM candidates...not making a knee jerk decision...

And we are doing everything on a whim?

Ridiculous

Kelly is massively over rated and we were never interested in him.

Can he use aspects of his style and build a successful scheme? Maybe

But, the scheme is us running now will n

But, breaking the bank on a guy with that many ?'s is crazy.

But, the scheme is us running now will not work in the NFL...yes just my opinion.

@ClintHoffman14: @josephperson decision by the big cat today?”... Maybe, but I would suspect he'll sleep on it a night or two.

JR making the decision is about the most disappointing thing the Panther's could have done minus keeping Beane as the GM. For the culture of this team to change, he needs to get the hell out of the way.

Take Cams ego and multiply it by 10. Still wouldnt equal JRs. He cant get out of his own way.

My guess is that the reason for the delay on a Rivera decision is that JR wants to have Rivera explain what went wrong and what plans he has to fix the problems. And I do think he wants to give Rivera a genuine opportunity to present his best case, so gave him the week to prepare. After all, up until the finale, RR was focused on the season and not preparing for what is essentially a job interview. So, if this is actually the case, it is very fair to Rivera...albeit frustrating for the fans.

Well Rivera has admitted he has been learning to be a HC. That it is a process.

Admitted he needed a former HC on staff

Only thing he has admitted is Chud flat out needs to be controlled more

Big Cat has already said Rivera's staff will know by Monday hasn't he....

At a point, if Richardson leaves so many people in limbo....it will reflex poorly on him. Rivera if not retained.....will miss the big wave of coaches being sought after to fill holes on all these new staffs
