Gettleman's resume is extremely impressive. I'd be cool with this guy.

It is that. If I remember correctly he has a background with RR. No? If that is the case he may actually know enough about Ron to know that he is a great coach and believe that he can build a winner with him as coach. I don't for a minute believe JR would go one way or the other for some of the stupid reasons I've seen posted here over the last few days. The man is not stupid and he did hire Accosi for a reason. I believe he is honestly trying to make this all work to build a winner.

so now we're complaining about the age of potential candidates...good grief!

Most of it is just trying to maintain a sense of humor through this crazy time.

His age shouldn't matter if he's the best man for the job.

Surprised that JR wants to build through the draft instead of via free agency, yet would want the vp of pro personnel over the director of college scouting.

as long as he brings in a top notch scouting staff i think he's qualified enough, and i care about that far more than age

Thought it was interesting when I was reading over on a Giants forum some are more worried to lose Gettleman. Lots of people saying he is the cap manager too.

Wouldn't be a surprise as Gettleman seems to be a cap expert and that's a big issue for us right now

Then you better hope JR opens his wallet to employ said scouting staff... Because in the past, he hasn't. For years we have had one of the smaller scouting staffs in the league... esp on the pro side.

After dealing with some of the assclown Giant fans at BofA earlier this season, I wouldn't trust a word that comes out of their loud mouths. Bloviating idiots.

Best policy.

Anything else is futile, really.

JR plays everything so close to the vest no one has a clue.

i used to have this teacher that was pretty old who would try and pretend he was reading a book but still keep an eye on everyone one and without fail one of two things would happen...he'd get interested in what he was pretending to read and not look up again or he'd fall asleep and drool all over himself.

moral is, sometimes it may look like someone is holding the cards close to his vest but he really might be asleep or in lala land.

just something to think about.
