would you rather have someone younger like Dan Snyder?

Because as we know................... he makes all the right decisions.

Or someone younger, like Robert Kraft, Arthur Blank, Steve Bisciotti, Jim Irsay, John Mara & Steve Tisch.....

For every Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones, there are plenty of other good business men operating their franchises successfully.

op seemingly without formal schooling

You have to love these threads where some fool who probably never made it out of a piss poor secondary education system, starts complaining about the habits and intelligence level of the owner of a multi million dollar corporation built from scratch.

Brain surgeons vs heart surgeons

While both are quite successful and lets say they're the top in their profession it would be silly to assume just because they are tops in one they would be proficient in the other.

Jerry Richardson is a very successful businessman but as an NFL owner....he has been a failure.

Yet some still defend him because he can make a profit.

What is Jerry and the ownership groups #1 goal as owners of the Panthers?

To be a successful and profitable business. So he is very good at his job . Main objective for us fans for him is different. We want him to win pretty much at all costs.

The oldest person to serve as a Supreme Court Justice was Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., (1902-1932) who was 90 when he retired from the Court. Compared to him Jerry Richardson is still a youngster.

Yep.

He's proven that...

Amazing how a team could be as profitable as it is and only have a winning record 4 times out of 18.

Amazing "businessman"

Look if he hires Lou holtz for head coach you have an age problem.

Complaining about the owners age or potential GM hire because he has grey in his hair. Come on Jesus what a forum full of idjuts

I don't know if it's because of age or not, but we are very unfortunate to have him.

Yes in terms of keeping up with a fast pace league like the NFL(football operations ). No on the money making side of being a successfull businessman. People think that if you can earn billions of dollars you can do anything. There is no doubt he is very intelligent and use to play in the NFL notice I mentioned use to play in the NFL. But the league is constantly changing as far as play on the field, and if a person is old and set in their ways and not willing to adjust they will not win. It's 2013 not 1960. Hire young blood give them the keys to the franchise then you concentrate on making the Panthers a global brand. Please stop meddling on the football side

Age is a factor. Plenty of medical articles about the aging process...

isms are morally wrong, not inaccurate.
