You know he's a lame duck

By mid-season if we're not over .500 with major improvement, he's fired

And he won't be fired cause we haven't improved, but because he's going to seriously embarrass JR cause he made the direct decision

Embrace mediocrity because it is the absolute best that Panther fans can hope for at this point. Would not at all be surprised if are unable to improve on 7-9.

To cap it off say hi to your no longer interim GM, Brandy Boy "one sugar or two Mr. Richardson" Beane.

When he ends up doing well next year you guys will all be really high on Chud again, and even Rivera.

This should cement the fact that it doesn't matter who is hired at coach or GM because JR dictates everything that happens, period.

Bc we have a crazy old man in JR. Why hire a GM at this point in time. JR is making all the decision, he mind as well be Jerry Jones 2.0.

Richardson should have full decision and final say in the upcoming draft and bringing in players.

Honestly the timing has just been completely off on JR's part. By insta-canning Hurney while taking forever to find a replacement, he put himself into a corner. If the Panthers had a GM Rivera would not be the coach next season. He's a dead man walking: the definition of a lame duck coach.

As much as we all supported the sentiment around firing Hurney as swiftly as he did, JR really shouldn't have if there were no plans to hire a new GM before the end of the year. Now we're stuck praying for Rivera (who honestly should have been let go before Hurney), and if we do get a GM we're forcing him to accept this coaching staff.

Cam help us.

Ya know, call me crazy, but I've found it's kind of unusual for a job hire to be made before any of the candidates have actually been interviewed.

Ross and Gettleman are set to interview on Monday.

Let's wait and see- Gettelman and Ross may both have a different take on the interview now that one of their primary decisions has been made for them.
