No. When Mr. Scot posted a similar thread I said that if JR didn't mandate keeping Rivera but the new GM kept him, then you respect his plan/vision.

Agreed, it just blows dick that Jerry made this decision ALLLLLL on his own. Probably with the help from some of his support group and Beane; yet and still, a guy whose team can't even put together back-to-back winning seasons is still making the decisions like he KNOWS what he is doing in that regard still irritates me.

But the owner of the team just made that decision for the GM, thereby removing any GM candidates who would have preferred to make the choice.

I had some hope when we hired Accorsi. I thought it meant JR was re-evaluating his many failures and was taking a step back from hands on decision making. But it's clear by the way Rivera has been handled that we should only expect more of the same.
