I'd prefer George Patton- he wouldn't stand around for JR's bullshit. Paton, however, will likely be a yes-man just like Hurney.

Someone from the "he's just gonna hire Beane" crowd will have to explain to me why we'd be bringing in more candidates if that's the case. Person says there should be a total of five or six.

Couple of quick cursory notes from his bio...

His name is pronounced like Payton (ugh).

He worked for the Bears scouting department while Rivera was a coach there.

Also worked for the Dolphins while Shula was there.
