...and we miss the playoffs by one game, I wonder how everybody would react? Keep him? Fire him?

Should fire his ass the first time we get the ball within 2 minutes and use a timeout to set up a play.

If we reach 7 losses at any point next year he should be gone.

Fire

That's what I was thinking this year after starting 2-8. But everybody changed their tune after the strong finish.

He'll be kept. No reason to pay TWO coaches.

That's a tough one. I think he would get canned simply because, while that's a substantial improvement in three years, it would still fall short of everyone's expectations. If we somehow went 10-6 and missed, I think it would be a different story though.

10 wins should be the floor IMO

depends on how the season goes, but I would be very unhappy with 9-7 next year, but firing him would depend quite a bit on what happened during the season itself.

hell, if we went 10-6 and missed the playoffs and lost 6 straight i'd also be pissed. :P

Thats what we said last year too, JR won't fire this man, as long as his millions are safe in Bojangles on Richardson Avenue.
