I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this headline on Fox Sports....

Just think of it like marrying into a family — except, instead of getting drunk uncle and that sassy sister-in-law, you get Rex Ryan Ron Rivera.

The word on the street is that the Jets Panthers are telling potential candidates they won’t be considered unless they agree to keep Rex Ryan Ron Rivera for a year.

So I had to fix it...

We don't know the details of the conversation JR had with Rivera. JR could have said he's safe, but if a GM tht JR really likes says he wants the authority to get rid of him and bring in his own guys, JR might grant that request.

Rex Ryan has himself very effectively turned the Jets into a dysfunctional soap opera. Not to mention the dude is a complete asshat just like his brother Rob. There are certain things I can and have complained about regarding Rivera but if I'm a perspective GM I would be far more inclined to sign here over that dumpster fire in New York.
