it's not actually based on lost footage, it's just a scifi/horror movie.

last one was in 1972 because it is expensive to do manned missions to the moon

Yeah, wasn't trying to say that. It's fiction.

ah okay :) in that case, if you like scifi/horror and you can get it via netflix, go for it. I enjoyed it in the theater.

look into Alternative Three and the Russian/US moon base partnership. not saying its real, but just read up on it.

basically the old movie Capricorn One breaks this all down.

What's it about? Any good?

Last one was 1972. Why?

Edit: just googled Apollo 18. It's not a doc but a sci fi based on lost footage. Wonder if its on Netflix.

i saw apollo 18 in theaters. i guess the concept of a movie set in what is pretty much the most remote location humans are currently capable of reaching would lend itself to a fantastically creepy atmosphere.

i was disappointed.

I actually thought the same thing from watching the trailer. I mean I didn't think it would be good just that it's an idea with some potential if done right.

The ny times (if I remember right) blasted NASA non stop saying they couldn't make it to the moon using rockets. They retracted their stance and issued an apology two days before the moon landing.

If we did go to the moon why haven't we or any one else went back? Maybe something there that wasn't so friendly?

And if this place is in need of anything,

Yep. We went to the moon, but the MSM, NASA, and the Gov't haven't exactly let us in on the reality of it all. The technology we used to get there was of much more significance than just a rocket and that silly tin foil pod they supposedly used to land.

Pretty sure whatever and whoever they came across up there wasnt that friendly because they know what kind of reckless and completely immature species we are, haha.
