RG3 not built for the NFL

Go listen to his postgame presser. He wanted to be out there regardless of his knee. He said that he didn't believe he was hurting the team and he believed he gave them the best chance to win. He only left the field when he couldn't play anymore. He was staying on that field until he was dragged off in a bodybag. It's the mentality of a athlete. I'm sure it's easy for fat middle aged guys sitting behind a keyboard to say he should have been out but rg3 saw it differently and accountability is on him.

Don't get me wrong, I do understand the mentality of RG3, that's why it's on Shannahan to protect, and bench him. One game is nothing compared to the rest of his carreer. Imagine some heavy guy jumped on his leg that play, it could have been lot worse.

And it's not that after Q2, he played brilliant...

Shannahan said rg3 earned the right to keep playing by his play during the season if you can't get behind that then you are babying this kid.

Let's agree to disagree :) Maybe the fact that I had 2 reconstructive knee surgeries makes me think more careful.

let's not get carried away, Cam only outweighs db's.

Cam is taller and heavier than every LB on our roster, and 90% of them in the NFL outside of some 3-4 OLB's

He is another Vick. Can't pass worth a damn and is nothing without his legs. He is also more injury prone than Vick so I don't see him lasting very long also.

what? this doesnt make much sense.

You can't leave it up to a player to take himself out of a game.

I absolutely blame Shanahan, that idiot should never have risked his franchise's future by putting RG3 back out there when it was obvious he wasn't even at 60%.

And as for whether RG3 will be able to take hits like that all that often, I don't know. I do know that players attempt to arm tackle Cam far more frequently than they do RG3. Something about 260 lbs of muscle tends to make defenders choose their steps wisely.

Yeah it was a dumb fuvk move especially considering the backup had played well when his numebr was called.
