Anyone else watch this?

I'm not big on going to the theater for movies, so I tend to catch the few recent releases I watch on Redbox, Netflix, or buy them off DirecTV/PSN Store...

I have to admit, the trailer for this movie was much more promising than the movie turned out to be IMO. Started off strong, but somewhere along the way, something went amiss.

Purchased it on-demand on Sunday night and only made it about 45 or 50 minutes into the film. There was some good cinematography and JGL was great in those first 45 minutes, but ultimately I cut it off because I just didn't find it that interesting. I never made it to see Emily Blunt though, so maybe there's a lot more too it.

Interesting. I had a couple of issues with the movie as well. I thought it was good overall though.

It seemed like a movie right up my alley and heard it was really good but I agree. It was a tad underwhelming. Felt like a poor man's 12 Monkeys at the end with ironically the same actor haha

I thought it was really solid, but it definitely had the right premise to be a lot stronger.

By far my #1 movie of the year. Still need to see a few, but right now it's not even close.

It's officially my 5th favorite of the year so far, after Django, End of Watch, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Chronicle.

Still haven't seen any of those (minus Chronicle - which I also enjoyed).

Right now I'd have:

Looper
Moonrise Kingdom
Life of Pi
Skyfall
Paranorman

(Still haven't seen Argo, Lincoln, Silver Lining's Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty along with the ones that you mentioned)

Pitch Perfect takes best comedy as well.
