So far I've found three coaches from teams that just let go of their head coach who have ties to Rivera and may be looking for work right now (or soon).

Tim Spencer, Bears

Ollie Wilson, Chargers

Ted Williams, Eagles

All three are longtime RB coaches who have worked with some fairly successful runningbacks.

The Jags also seem willing to part ways with Sylvester Croom, another long timer in the league but with no ties to Rivera that I've seen.

Love to see Juan Castillo as a OL coach, he was a great OL coach. Terrible defensive.

OL coach worked miracles down the stretch.

Matsko is a good oline coach from what I've heard. Frank Garcia played for him and thinks he's one of the best.

Haven seen much in two seasons. Three backs that haven't been able to do much.

This is a stupid move. Settle is taking the fall for Chud.

I don't get it

So despite 4 guys cannibalizing each other's carries they still thought we should've had a 1000 yard rusher at the RB position?

If Matsko were to be replaced, I'd see Hal Hunter of the Chargers as a more likely replacement than Castillo.

Maybe.

My conspiracy theory is that Settle could be getting dropped to make room for an old Rivera colleague with more experience, maybe someone like Tim Spencer.

As laughable as it sounds now, people were calling our o-line a strength heading into 2012. We had three 700+ yard rushers in 2011. I think the stupid ass play calling early on made our line look like pure sh*t. The plays were taking too long to develop with Chud's over use of the read option. Then in the second half we had backups to backups starting in the middle. They performed as expected, good enough to temporarily fill in but not start. That's a credit to Matsko IMO.

Positional coaches are responsible for scheme implementation in relation to their specific position. Just like how Norman lining 10 yards off falls on his position coach and on himself, so does anything the RB's do (or don't do) fall on their position coach. While their problems may very well have been scheme related, the coaching staff may have felt that they weren't being coached how to run the scheme properly by their position coach.
