Surprised this news hasn't made the renowned college hoops forum. If a Carolina player would have passed gas in the wrong direction there would be 14 threads on it.

It's the same foot injury he had last season. Out at least 2 weeks.

I really hope this isn't a degenerative issue because that could hurt his pro career is Lithuania next year.

As for Murphy, he very well could go off since he seems to be gaining more confidence, but Hairston/Jefferson will also see Kelly's minutes and create a logjam is he doesn't establish himself early.

Yeah it really sucks for Kelly with it being his senior year, what I have heard is he aggrevated it over the holiday break and he had some real discomfort after he took a fall at the end of the half against Clemson. He didn't break it but they want to give him time to completely heal so it doesn't flare up again around tourney time. Technically he could probably play if it were the tourney but no reason not to rest it and get healthy all while giving Jefferson, Murphy, and MP3 some valuable minutes. Expect him back in 2-3 weeks.

Carolina has a poor excuse for a basketball team this year. Also Kelly will have a more successful career then the overrated, undersized jmm. On topic enough for you? Also your boy Roy isnt worthy enough to hold K's clip board. Im sure Duke would give him a job as a recruiter though.
