And to the OP, "we" don't give him any time. That's up to Jerry. Just sayin.

Next year is a throwaway year- Rivera will continue to fail and Gettleman will get "his" coach. Then unless things are going absolutely terribly that's a certain 3 additional years there before the heat begins to rise.
You see, Aggie Lean, this is the kind of statement that I was talking about.

A couple of winning seasons off the bat= 5 years.
A couple of playoff berths off the bat= 7 years.
A Super Bowl win in the first 3 years= as long as he wants & a statue.
Multiple Super Bowls in the first 5 years= Renaming BoA to Gettlemen Field.
0-3 out of the gate next year = Late Oct of 2013.

This is more what I was referring to...I know Jerry will give him at least several years to make things happen. It's a business things take time.
I'm talking about us as a fan base...what kind of things will turn us on him like we did Hurney. A bad record next year probably wont do it. What will?
Me personally I'd love to see him get us cap compliant in the next two years or so...and begin building a new core. I'd like to see him strengthen the positions hurney never could...WR, DT, S, CB. And I'd like most of all to see some kind of plan...something that we haven't seen in a while, really since the early years of fox ball. We all knew that we'd have great lines and not take chances in free agency. May not have been exciting but it got us to the Super Bowl.

As negative as some of you are I can't help but wonder how you get through a day without commiting suicide.
You do realize, don't you, that we can be pessimistic about RR and be optimistic about other things.

That Super Bowl team was loaded with FA's.
