I want this guy if we cant get Norv or Whiz

Doug Nussmeier, Bama OC

Was the QBC in STL when Bulger was lighting it up. Was the OC for Locker at Washington. The balance in the 1st half of the title game was picturesque. Every play killed ND attacking the weak spots in the D.

I'd be shocked if it isn't Shula. Those of you referencing his stint with Tampa as the reason he "sucks" need to realize that it has been over a decade since he was in that role, and I think it is safe to assume that he has learned quit a bit since then. And for those saying he has never run a Coryell system, well, it's true, he hasn't run one...but he has been heavily involved with one for the last two years, and already has a very good working relationship with our franchise QB, by all reports.

So, the bottom line is that he has been training in this offense for a couple of years and has the advantage of already knowing our personnel, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, and most of all, has immediate history with the man making the decision. So unless Norv decides he wants to come here, I think those not enamored with Shula should start bracing themselves for disappointment.

Forgot about Ramsdell. That'd be a great choice.

Bob Bratkowski's another Coryell guy that'll be looking for work.

yep. Bratkowski's not bad.

And yeah I saw Geep is listed for a job or two. Coryell guy too. He was on the Bears' coaching staff when Ron was a player.

Tom Moore would be a nice mentor to Cam Newton

We have Cam frickken Newton. I'm not worried about having a number of qualified candidates to choose from.

We don't have to settle for Shula.

Right system. Slightly younger than dirt but still coaching, I believe.

I have to wonder if this "security" is even a big deal to Norv. Does anyone really think he wants to be an OC for a long time? He probably wants to OC for a year or two then get another HC job. So if anything, he can come here as OC and if Rivera shits the bed again he will have the foot in the door for the HC job here.

Why? I looked him up and as an OC he has a good winning record. Now as a HC not so good.

Not disagreeing with you its just that I have never followed a team that he has been apart of so I don't know anything about him other than what I just found.

I feel like Flacco kind of screwed Cameron in Baltimore. He looked like he was really coming into his own last year, but now checks down a lot every time I watch the Ravens, which is admittedly, very little.

I don't see why Norv would want to go be an OC underneath a former OC head coach that's new and is going to want his hand in everything. Every time I've been offered a job or promotion, a boss that doesn't fug with me and let's me do my job has always been appealing. Norv would certainly have that here.

How about Brian Billick??? He turned the Minnesota Vikings into quite the offensive powerhouse back in the day. If Rivera starts out bad again, he could fill in quite nicely as an interim coach.

I'm not sure he would even consider a coordinator position though.

This seems to be more in line with what I have been reading, I think Norv would be number one on my wish list but Cameron seems like a good alt.
