Worth noting though that Norv's son may not be the only guy who goes.
Chudzinski may well try to take some others with him. And if you're combining your thinking on that to the offensive side of the ball, think again. The Browns are going to need defensive staff too. Like many new head coaches, it's reasonable to expect Chudzinski may cast an eye toward his former employer.
The good news? The Panthers would have to grant permission for anyone Chudzinski wanted to interview. But with that said, Chudzinski amd Coach Ron Rivera are on good terms and the team has generally been willing to allow coaches to seek opportunities to advance. It's possible they may even allow guys to look into lateral moves as well.
And while we're focused on the flux caused by Chudzinski's departure, let's not forget the team already had three positions to fill before any of this happened. Four if you count Special teams Coach, and given that the team just interviewed Dave Toub, I'd say you should.
Yeesh
We all knew we were going into next season with a new GM, but outside of that I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us expected most everything else to remain relatively calm. Instead, this offseason is turning out to be wilder and more unpredictable than anyone expected.
And it's not over yet.
