I like this, he'll have a plethora of weapons here unlike previous stops. When he actually had a runningback in McFadden, the Oakland rushing attack was 2nd in yards. I think he could be good Jonathan, and will hopefully keep SOME read option but also stack it up in some traditional packages and pound the ball. I endorse this hire.

how is he a loose cannon?

He did go a little bonkers after Davis died and gave a weird post-game press conference after the last game of the season saying it was his team and that he was going to take control. Once again, never give him GM powers. Ever.

I saw somewhere that he employs a power running game.... <-------- I was sold when I read that alone!

I am really OK with a Hue Jackson hire if we go that route and can't get the top of the list.

He's a Coryell guy but he knows how to keep RBs involved. He was in a really shitty situation in Oakland and in 2010 / 2011 their offenses were not bad at all.

He's not my first choice but if he's who we get I will sleep better than I did when Chud was coming back.

He was "OC" under Spurrier and Petrino. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge. Say no more.

Any other time he was pretty spot on in that capacity.

Also, the quarterbacks for those teams. . . we're not talking all stars or anything. Joey Harrington come on down!!!

If he does employ the Coryell system, get him immediately

Air Coryell is the name given to the offensive scheme and philosophy developed by former San Diego Chargers coach Don Coryell. Besides the term "Air Coryell", the offensive philosophy developed by Coryell has been called the "Coryell offense" or the "vertical offense".
