Shurmur is neither. He never had a winning record as an OC, and put up one of the worst seasons in NFL history at 1-15.

What qualifications does he even have? That he was Andy Reid's QB coach for 6 years? Cause I sure as hell wouldn't qualify his 2 years in St. Louis as a glowing resume either.

If we hire Shurmur it will mean Gettlemen wants Rivera to fail so he can replace him. That is the only way to make sense of that hire when there are so many other better candidates out there...wow. Pat flippin Shurmur.

fug that. Nothing stands in the way of success like your friends. I have been blindly devoted to Rivera and I believe that he's a good coach that is learning to be a head coach. But if he gives Shurmur the job just for the fug of it because they're old pals I'm gonna be pissed. With his shitty resume` I wouldn't hire Shurmur to scrub my toilet.

No need to overreact until he gets hired. Even then you can assume that Rivera believes that the guy he hires will do a great job. No reason to assume you know better. Coaches know more than 1 system and can adapt. After all what made you think Chud would be so innovative based on what he did at Cleveland as OC.
