People still share this fabrication passing as a quotation by Hitler? I'm shocked!

And yes...registration was a key component to gun control in Germany during the 30s.

How else will they know who to visit and either confiscate or terminate.

You mean the registration started in 1928(Hint: Who was in power then?)? You do realize Hitler's regime, in 1938, loosened regulations put in place before him, right? I mean, Hitler's regime actually totally deregulated long guns and ammunition that year. They did quite a bit more, too, like extending handgun permits, and widely expanding who could actually get a gun without a permit at all. If anything, Hitler was AGAINST gun control for his citizens... he didn't really see Jews as German citizens anyway.

Jews suffered under Hitler, and that did include the gun control laws in 1938, because they were banned from manufacturing guns, then shortly later later banned from possessing *any* weapon including guns.

Sure...some were deregulated, but registration was a new requirement.

Under both the 1928 and 1938 acts, gun manufacturers and dealers were required to maintain records with information about who purchased guns and the guns' serial numbers. These records were to be delivered to a police authority for inspection at the end of each year.

As long as you were in favor with the current regime, the police didn't really see a need to bother you. When they felt they wanted to...they did. Don't show allegiance? You may have ended up missing. It wasn't just the Jews that were persecuted, but as a group they were definately singled out.

How was it new? Your own quote defeats your argument.

Under both the 1928 and 1938 acts, gun manufacturers and dealers were required to maintain records with information about who purchased guns and the guns' serial numbers. These records were to be delivered to a police authority for inspection at the end of each year.

In other words, it wasn't new.

edit: or did you think Hitler/the Nazi were in power in 1928...?

Gun regulations were loosened before Hitler took over, and he further weakened them (for everyone but the Jews.. or enemies of the state).

I notice he wants to fund a CDC study on violent images in media and video games, but no CDC study on the effects of the psychoactive prescription drugs almost every single school shooter is on.

what about a CDC study on use of psychoactive prescription drugs in media and video games?
