Consider we are picking 3rd and Shabazz and McLemore are gone 1 & 2.

We are left with the 3 big men of the draft- Who do you take?

My case for each:
Zeller - Offensive game is the best of the 3 right now- he's the best scorer- but will his game translate into the NBA?

Noel - Prototypical physical speciman. Has the body, the bounce, the Kentucky pedigree. But isn't he just the USA version of Biyombo?

Len - IMO, he is Brook Lopez 2.0. Has the frame, the defense, the post moves. Not polished yet, but do we really want to pass on the same player twice?

No, he's already a better player than Biyombo.

Biyombo is a great kid but he's terrible.

I agree- i was just trying to find both sides of the coin.. why we do draft and why not...

if we have the chance to get Noel or Len- im all in..

Easily Len, has the most polished post game out of anyone in the draft and his upside his young Pau Gasol esque.

Unfortunately, Noel is in the same boat is Biyombo. Noel is a better basketball player than Biz, but he is just as unpolished as Biz is in every aspect of the game.

Zeller is a hard worker and a guy that you'd love to have on your team if you were competing for a championship but he has Tyler Hansbrough (better version) written all over him.

Yeah what Morgan said, if we get a shot at McLemore, you trade Henderson or Gordon for someone.

Right now I'm leaning towards Zeller. Classic case of a guy going back to school and everyone starts over-analyzing his flaws- he is a 7 footer with fantastic touch around the basket who gets to the line and makes his FTs. I see him as a taller and more talented David Lee.

But Nerlens Noel is intriguing. Lets be honest, he is already a better defender than Bismack, and he has huge potential if he ever gets some offense going.

I went with Zeller also. I think he is slightly more polished than Brook Lopez was going into the draft with better defensive skills. We need offense bad.

I voted Len 7'1 with a post up game.

Voted for Noel. Our Defense sucks as does our rebounding. I think hes a more polished Biz. I would then pick Len and after that Zeller.

FYI this is based on nothing except my own intuition which obviously sucks because I am in a dead end job so take this with a grain of salt....

I like Noel but whoever can rebound on this team. Our leading rebounder if not mistaken is our rawest player on the team (Biz). And our "tallest" player on the team is the worst rebounder on the team and also a 7foot SF.

He was impressive. Offensively, I think he is slightly better than Noel. As far as rebounding and defense, no question that Noel is way ahead of him. I think Len has a lot of potential, but mostly as an offensive guy. The Brook Lopez comparisons are not far off.

However, when I look at Noel, I always see KG. I know that is a pretty hefty projection on him, but that, IMO, is truly his ceiling. His intelligence level on both ends is very high. He can make great passes on offense and knows when to go up with the ball strong. On defense, his instincts are tremendous. He seems to always be in the right place for the rebound and can block shots with the best of them. His length combined with his jumping ability and instincts combine for him to be a force down low. He definitely needs to put some meat on his bones and needs to work on some offensive moves (he did show a nice little running hook to his left that didn't drop but looked good, however). I think Noel's ceiling is very high.
