F*ck Blockbuster...

Dude.. I just rented Fallout 3 last weekend for PS3.. It was like $6.84 for 3 days... Then they told me it was $1.99 a day for each day late, and then they sold it to you on the 10th day it was late...

Time are getting tough! Whatever happened to "no late fees?"

For movies, that is why we've switched to Netflix. Used to use the local video store but they had a zero late tolerance policy. Love Netflix, daughter has a blast monitoring the queue online. Can send in 2 movies Monday, get 2 more on Wednesday in the mail.

Oh, the local store just went belly up, should have been nicer to their customers.

with the ease of renting games online, i don't see how blockbuster can compete. i give them 2-3 years before they flop.

Hate Blockbuster, we have been using Netflix now for a year and its been great. We have had a couple of movies that did not work but no big deal for the savings and not having to deal with the Crooks called BB!

If BlockBuster Video goes belly up, do you think it would also effect the Miami Dolphins? Wayne Huizenga is primary owner of the NFL team, as well as BB. He also owns Waste Management; the largest trash delivery company in the U.S., and former owner of the Florida Marlins MLB and Florida Panthers NHL teams.

I used to work for BlockBuster a long time ago. They remind me a lot of Wal-Mart (and McDonald's for that matter), in that they grew so big and successfully hit the little guys mom-&-pop stores.

I heard that BB is now experimenting with online rentals, to compete with these others mentioned.

i can see BB sticking around because of name recognition and older folks that don't trust the interwebz. they've lost my business for good.

BB is too freaking expensive, even just a movie is around 5 bucks, and they hassle you to try to get you to buy the monthly rental thing. Shaddup and let me rent my movie dammit.

Their internet thing is pretty comparable to Netflix, and they let you return stuff to any store, too and get something there which is nice. I was thinking about getting it.

BB is more expensive, and with Netflix, I can stream directly to my XBox 360 from my Instant Queue. I'm a huge Netflix fan... love em, and I have never gotten a scratched disc from them either.

Not so sure of Gamefly.. the one time I checked em out, they were charging about $25 a month for their service. Umm... I don't play games enough to warrant that cost.

Blockbuster does this to makeup for their lack of movie rentals due to getting owned by Redbox. Their gaming rental prices are ridicoulous, I agree

game rental prices are high everywhere. the closest place to me is 8 bucks for 5 days, and thats a movie gallery. blockbuster is a dollar more i think. i really need to look at getting gamefly or something.
