Trade Kelly Johnson and get a decent pitcher or left fielder

Well crap, now it looks like LA is trying to throw more money his way to try and keep him.

Braves.com is now saying the Braves are "close" to signing him. They say he might be moved to second, but I think Escobar has a much higher trade value and will be needed to get a good pitcher.

They're saying that to keep Yunel's trade value up. That is, if he signs.

It will piss me off if he backs out which looks like it might happen.

The Braves came to an agreement with one of Japan's top pitchers, Kenshin Kawakami. I know nothing about him but that. Projected to be a starter.

The are said to offer Lowe a contract early this week. At least now it looks like they are trying to do something to the abysmal pitching situation but this is only a start.

So if they can get Lowe, you are looking at a rotation of Lowe, Jurrjen, Vazquez, Kawakami and still maybe Glavine. The bottom of that still looks weak. Tim Hudson wants to be back in August, but that will still be pushing it and who knows what he will look like.
