There's the old military addage:
If the story starts, "This is no bullshit," or "This is a no-shitter...," odds are it's not the truth.

They way I heard it was

Do you know the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story? A fairy tale starts out " once upon a time", and a sea story starts out " this aint no s hit".

My fraternity brother in college picked up a girlfriend and she basically fabricated her whole life for reasons we never figured out. She went to Cornell was studying to be a doctor, was in a horrific wreck one time. All lies. Basically a pathological liar.

I have a sister in law that claimed she had cancer and would be dead in a year. Her brother (my brother in law) gave her 30k thinking he would be in on the life insurance. 2 years later, she looks healthier than ever, bro in law is short 30k and my wife and I took in her son because she's a crazy nut job. Crazy god damn people
