Doesn't necessarily mean he's likely for the job though. Could just be a courtesy.

Losing isn't what's best for Cam, and Shula has never done anything but lose.Would be the best for Cam as far as continuity, but would rather have Jackson and leave Shula where he is. If he is willing.

Nothing on his resume suggests he'd be good at running a modern NFL offense.

Totally agree, however, having a guy 3 years into an opportunity to be a QB coach with us, allows him to keep the same terminology and allow the most FLUID transition. If you have noticed, the Panthers don't do too much winning either, with or without Cam.
The comment was made without involving Shula's winning %. It was made for the fact that Cam's development in year 3 is critical and introducing a new system and terminology to a young man who can barely speak, to me, does not sound like a wise idea, especially when Rivera needs to win yesterday.

Exactly, so why so concerned about keeping everything the same for Cam? Not like we have a winning formula to protect.Totally agree, however, having a guy 3 years into an opportunity to be a QB coach with us, allows him to keep the same terminology and allow the most FLUID transition. He's done nothing in a leadership or playcalling role.

Can barely speak? Just because Cam likes to say things his own way doesn't mean he's too stupid to learn a new offense. He's done it four times in five years.
