This thread really got off track fast. Mr. Scot is trying to play the Denzel role and save the train. Let's see if he can do it.

Can someone tell me where they are getting all of the love for Jackson? (Honestly, I want to understand what people see in him)

Based on thew wiki, the guy seems to have bounced around from job to job...not many of them particularly impressive. I'm failing to see how this resume adds up to him being a good OC (not that the pickings are plentiful, but still)

In his only season as HC he went 8-8 after BOTH of his qbs went down or else they were headed to the playoffs. Guess who hasn't won 8 games in a season....

What did he do with Kolb who was supposed to be ready to shine?? What system will he use? He was west coast when he had Warner. Why would he be a good fit for our system?? And he didn't beat those teams Warner did... What has he done when he didn't have Warner??

Kevin Kolb was a terrible QB that even Andy Reid couldn't make look decent

I guess out of the three Jackson is the best candidate

None of them blow me out of the water honestly. Jackson is good, but Shula and Shurmur sound god awful as OCs here

Gruden's not even a candidate there as far as I know. Pretty sure the only team that called about him was the Eagles.

Looking like the Cardinals will hire Arians right now.

I think Hue Jackson is waiting for see if Jay Gruden moves on and he can because the OC on a team he's already been around for a year. If Gruden gets the HC job in Arizona, then Hue will become OC in Cincy and we'll promote Shula.

If Gruden stays then Hue comes to Carolina. Just my .02.

How many coaches have consistently won without at least an average starting QB?

He's taken now anyway.

I am not terribly excited with any of them but I suppose Jackson is the best option.
