Where are we going to play during this multi-million dollar upgrade?

If reports are to be believed, and the 125 is what Charlotte puts forth and JR matches it (hopefully) we are talking about a 250 mill upgrade.
Chicago did a big upgrade a few years back and they played at the University of Illinois' Memorial Stadium for an entire year.
Where do the Panthers play while these huge upgrades unfold?

You cannot do 125 to 250 mill in upgrades between a January start date and September of the same year.

If it did take longer... Wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhere in SC...

Most likely, I would think, is Clemson, followed closely by UNC (since their recent upgrades offer a TON of seats).

You have to consider the bears stadium was in very bad shape, we are not doing any structural work.

Back to Clemson for one year makes a lot of sense.

I was there for the first game. Upper deck gave me vertigo.

This cannot be completed in 8 months.

I agree with lightsout, Clemson is the only option.

Put me in charge of the $250 million, and I will provide a written guarantee that no games will be affected.

Should there be any complaints about the work, please send them to my p.o. box in the strip mall. I may be temporarily out of pocket.

125 is more than just bigger jumbo-trons and escalators. 250 makes the opportunities almost limitless.

Can we dome BOA for 250 mill...........................I kid, I kid.

Unless they move to Kings Mountain and start over, there will never be a true tailgate experience at Panther Stadium.

Are you referring to the Bears 2003 renovation? Because what they did was much more complex than what the Panthers are doing, the renovations can easily be done in eight months, escalators and video board upgrades is nothing.

This will be the house that Luke/Cam/Charlotte eaters built.

I do not think this will be completed before Fan Fest.

they won't be playing somewhere else. it won't interfere with any season. it won't be a big enough job to warrant shutting the stadium down that long.

They have talked about taking some seats out. I don't think there's any chance they create more.

Coming from a State fan, this would honestly be the best option if they did have to play somewhere else. Clemson and USC both have NFL worthy stadiums, but from a business standpoint, the Triangle offers the biggest upside for the team.

Population alone makes it a no brainer. But, the eastern part of NC has never really embraced the Panthers. A year playing in the Triangle could definitely change that. Considering the exploding young professional demographic in and around Raleigh, we might finally be able to snuff out the last bastions of Deadskins fans in this state.

how is the unions' grasp on construction in NC?

Also, with the highspeed rail from Charlotte to Raleigh, it would be incredibly easy for the Charlotte faithfull to make the trip on gamedays.
