Well, that's not going to happen. Their agreement with Wofford goes through at least 2015.

Ha, yes I think it is even less. However, the way they built the stadium, they did it so it can be expanded for a lot more fans and in hte future I think eventually, they will make it a decent (competitive) stadium. A lot fo teh new football team is based on growth, such as a band for instance that will be nonexistant until there is some growth. I think it will happen though, UNCC is just exploding and is getting tougher I know from first hand expereience, its been my second home for research purposes for a long time. I think the statement was a wishful thinking one, while I love UNCC, there are better options.

Even still, I pass the stadium frequentley and I think it looks awesome. I'm biased being a student but seeing that beauty instead of basically nothing is great. It's really nice and people in Charlotte should be happy about it.

btw- since these upgrades are about the "gameday experience" are they going to do anything to make tailgating i dunno...BETTER??

Easier to get in and out of with better dining options nearby..no question. Hopefully the Gamecocks embrace a partnership if they do have to relocate for a year.

I remember when we were awarded the team, the initial plan was to play our first season in Columbia (USC), however the University thought the Panthers would detract from Gamecock games played on the Saturday prior, like that would ever happen.

They don't own any parking, so I don't know how that would be possible. In ten years, tailgating in Uptown Charlotte will be largely gone I think.

Three more enormous lots were lost this year alone and there are several other projects pending development in third ward.

LOL -Lollipop park...It would be cool to have an entertainment complex at that location...sports bars, a "Panther Hall Of Fame" etc. It could be "party central" on game days!
