I have a hunch that the job has been offered to Jackson and he is taking his time with it (supposedly has an ego). The Shula interview may be the fallback plan or it could be to pressure Jackson into taking the offer. Who knows.

This should be the most interesting offseason in Panther history (at least we might all agree that it stands to be that).

That is one thing that concerns me about Jackson as OC. He's been known for his hubris. I'd hate to get into a Chud-like situation where he starts calling exotic plays to draw head coaching interest or proves unwilling to adjust if his offense isn't working.

I wonder if Davidson will come back for a discount.

For what it's worth why not give Mike Shula a shot at Off coor. He's been with team, knows the system and knows the QB.

It's possible that even if the hire has been chosen, it isn't yet announced.

You know the Panthers don't like to announce stuff before the ink is dry.

Watch us hire someone completely out of the blue, like Dan Henning.

Honestly, I would far prefer Henning to either of our "S" candidates.

Possible they want to announce all the hires at once.

Was hoping one of them would be Bob Babich. Guess not :(

I know he's not, just using Chud as an example, but the willingness to adjust if things aren't working has me a little concerned. Granted, I still prefer him out of all the options available, with Shurmur a distant last.

i'd prefer someone a bit more progressive and aggressive than hue, but he's the best of the candidtates we have.

i just don't see hue as being all that creative. i wish he were, but he'll do.
