Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. The team has interviewed the viable candidates. There really aren't any other hot OC picks out there.

Actually, there might be.

Up till today, the Chargers hadn't named a new QB Coach. Today they did, which frees up John Ramsdell to look for work elsewhere.

really good listen:

wfnz
Listen to Vinny Cerrato of CBS Baltimore/CBS Sports Radio explain why Hue Jackson would be so great for the Panthers http://t.co/mQYSr9pv

also some good stuff about gettleman and reassuring things about the cap situation.

Every time I read "Hue Jackson" I think "Hugh Jackman." Now, that's a hire I could support!

Because he has great offensive coaching philosophies?

I don't understand it either. We should be enticing him with all we've got. Maybe we are. Maybe the offers are there and Jackson is taking his time thinking on it. Hard to say really, not need to blame anyone but it does make you wonder.

Shula being out second choice realllly worries me though. There is really no one better?

Are you advocating for a "hands in everything", meddling type owner, a la Jerry Jones?

I think JR already is a "meddling type owner", he is just more low key about it than JJ.

But according to Joe these are our final candidates!

Who is a candidate that is still in the playoffs?

Maybe we are waiting to interview one more guy once he is finshed this weekend?
