Cordarralle Patterson can FLY

Not only up draft boards, but on the field.

Lets all just stop and remember that CP is 6'3, 205 pounds.

"We just ran our 40 times in Kansas before I came home on break," he said. "I ran, like, 4.21, 4.26 and 4.29. Everything was under 4.3." quote from Patterson

I personally think he will run around a 4.30-4.35 at the combine, but still at his size that is crazy fast.

He also tried running track for the first time in his life last year, and ran a 10.33 in the 100 meter dash, and a 21.19 in the 200 meter dash. These times are among the best in the nation for college football players.

Even more impressive than his straight line speed is his ability to change direction, and make people miss in the open field.

If anyone doesn't have this guy as the #1 WR in the draft, and surely a top 15 pick, you're doing it wrong.

Did you know his most recent times or his track numbers?

There's a lot more behind being fast than just looking fast in highlight reels lol.

My favorite thing about him was his ability to make someone miss. Once he gets the ball, he's as close to unstoppable as I've seen in a while. He just struggles with route running and dropped balls. Still, he didn't drop half as many passes as Justin Hunter this year. Route running is somethign that can be taught.
He's going to be a star.

Research his high school and city...and what sort of prospects have come out over the years for a relatively small city. Pretty good track record.

<<Go Trojans. The high school, not the ghey college out west.

OK I AM ALL IN on PATTERSON at 14!! or would you want the second best G or 4th best DT...

He was a little raw..but Terrel Owens and Newton have that label their early years..RAW is the new AWESOME!

That change of direction with the size speed and acceleration makes him possibly better than Julio Jones.

Self reported 40 times are next to worthless, every year before the combine you get numerous guys saying they run these great times then fall well short of those marks at the combine. I do think he's fast though, if he can get his time under 4.4 at the combine I wouldn't be at all surprised and when it's all said and done I think he'll easily be a 1st round pick.

If we take Warmack or a DT in the 1st and Patterson is still there around 28 think we'll trade our 2nd and maybe next year's 2nd to move up and get him? I wouldn't mind it.

Wow, running after the catch, he's as shifty and fluid as anyone i have ever seen.

Kinda like watching reggie bush back in college, but faster, and bigger.

Jeez, im sold!

Right now i still want Warmack, but the closer we get to the draft i see myself switching over to this guy. With Shula as the new OC we are gonna need all the playmakers we can get and CP is raw, but with Prohel as the new WR coach i can easily get behind taking him at 14.

If anything Shula being OC just makes me want a DT even more. Now we're gonna have to rely on a dominant defense more than ever.

I would not mind taking CP in the first at all. He has all of the potential to be a game changer at WR in the NFL. He made plays this year against some elite SEC defenses that made my jaw drop. Insane cutting ability and speed for his size, pretty sure hands but needs to work on watching the ball all the way into his hands. Route running needs a lot of improvement but he'll be able to learn that with good coaching. He would be an instant impact player at punt/kickoff returns. If we took this guy, we wouldn't regret it for a second....

But, I will admit, I am slightly biased. :D

Panther/Vol Fanatic? What bias?? Heh

I wouldn't be pissed off if we took him, I'd definitely be optimistic but he wouldn't be my first choice. He is still raw as hell and body catches way too much from what I've seen. But his athletic ability is unquestionable.

I'm actually thinking Patterson is going to be gone by our pick. Both the Bills and Dolphins badly need a WR. If he does rise up draft boards as I anticipate there's a very good chance he'll be long gone by the time we pick.

Runs just like Armanti. No route skills. No thanks.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

CP is NOTHING like Armanti, whatsoever.

Patterson's route running can be worked on, and his lighting fast speed and elusiveness make up for it.

Have you ever even watched either play? That was literally one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen. Armanti is fugging slow, CP is one of the fastest prospects in the draft lol.

"DERP BUT DEY BOFF HAV DREADZ!!"

I thought him to be more of a 4.4 guy, but I look forward to seeing him next month at the combine. He will make himself some money if he is close to 4.3.

Having said that, our QB on his back will not be able to get him the ball no matter how fast he runs. I am still for the trences early and often.

Gettlemans Giants assembled some pretty good Olines for the running game and to protect the less than nimble Eli Manning. Same on the DLine which had been a terror for some QB's. I hope that we stick with a game plan of big uglies and build from the center out, not the other way.

Patterson might be great, but not with the Panthers, not yet

I think he might be a little too raw for the fourteenth pick. But i also want Dion Jordan who is raw. I dunno I wouldnt be mad either way as long as we build up that Oline after.
