If you don't think JR has a say in the type of toilet paper they use in the stadium ....you'd be wrong. This guy is involved in everything.
https://twitter.com/josephperson/status/291230319850450944Ron Rivera says Jerry Richardson gave him no directives in terms of staff changes, philosophy, etc, when he decided to retain him.

so. fuging. depressing.Joe Person
@josephperson
For those asking, Pat Shurmur and Hue Jackson wanted the job. Panthers went w/ continuity and someone who's worked well with Cam.

The good news is that we'll get a fresh staff next year after Rivera gets himself and this crew fired.
Once again failing to hire a former head coach as the OC is a huge mistake. He desperately needed someone with that experience on his staff, and he STILL didn't do it, even when he had the clear opportunity.
I'm heartbroken by both of these moves, and have completely lost what little faith I had left in Ron Rivera. 7-9, here we come...again.

have you ever looked at what he did in tampa?
not exactly what i would call "pep".
he adds nothing.
it's a step backward if anything.
I'm just hoping Cam's talent and athleticism can help mask Shula as OC.

I'm just as upset about Rodgers being promoted as I am Shula. Bobby April was a slam dunk hire who would instantly help our special teams. Continuity isn't nearly as big in that area, because there is a lot of turnover on the bottom half of the roster, which is usually where special teams players are pulled from.

Just try to stay excited for that meaningless 4-2 run at the end of the season.
